JOIN ME IN SOUTH SPAIN THIS AUTUMN FOR A WEEK OF SUNSHINE, YOGA AND MOUNTAINS!
SATURDAY 10TH - SATURDAY 17TH OCTOBER 2026
We will stay and do much of our practice just outside the delightful town of Orgiva, in the Alpujarra region of Andalucia. Morning Yoga on the terrace will be followed by a substantial home-cooked brunch [included in the costs!] After this, the time is yours - relax by the pool, stroll into town, book a massage, go horse trekking, or join me for a hike in the hills, with routes and distances chosen to suit the group. We might even manage an excursion to the coast, or a spa visit...
OUR ACCOMMODATION
We stay in a beautiful secluded villa, set in a farm with ancient olives, fruit trees, lush sub-tropical gardens to enjoy, plus outdoor terraces and a pool. There's even a barbecue! Each room has a private bathroom, plus access to spacious shared living areas and a fully equipped kitchen. Choice of Double or Twin rooms.
ALL THIS FOR JUST 480 EUROS PER PERSON!
(Single room: 70euro supplement)
ORGIVA AND THE ALPUJARRAS
Orgiva is the gateway town for the Alpujarra region, a range of hills on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, which include the highest peak in mainland Spain. A designated Natural Park, the land is rich and fertile due to a milder climate and the meltwater from the Sierra above. Many hiking trails can be found, linking the old Moorish 'white villages' or climbing towards the Sierra. The week will include some guided hikes, of varying distances - so everyone will have the chance to explore the area, whether you're a seasoned hiker or just prefer a gentle walk between coffee stops!
Orgiva has a weekly market, plus shops, bars, restaurants, and a colourful international scene. The town is roughly 20min walk from the accommodation.

GETTING THERE
Direct flights to Malaga Airport from Cork or Dublin with Ryanair and Aer Lingus. To arrive from Malaga by public transport, take a bus to Granada Bus Station (approx 2 hours) then another to Orgiva. There are also buses from Orgiva to the Alpujarra villages, so everywhere can be reached by public transport. But we can probably group together and share hire cars at low cost, and this will expand our options if we have 3 cars between us. The coast is difficult to reach by bus from Orgiva!
By car, it's a couple of hours drive from the airport (and a winding road for the last 30minutes!)
Please note that flights from Cork arrive too late for public transport connections, and the drive is also easier by day. It may be best to fly the day before and spend a night in Malaga. It may also be possible to book an extra night or 2 at the accommodation, though I won't know this until I have confirmed numbers. Keep an eye on this space for updates!
